Epoxy.com Product #899 is a 100% solids Low-Mod Low Viscosity Primer and Sealer. It may be used as a Primer for any Epoxy.com Products, as a stand alone sealer. It may also be combined with Epoxy.com Product #78 to form a Low-Mod mortar.
Surface must he clean and sound. Remove all dirt, laitance, grease curing compounds and other foreign matter by sandblasting, mechanical abrasion, or acid etching. Remove water and dust from all surfaces with an oil-free blast immediately prior to application.
Temperature of Epoxy.com Product #899 must be 50 degrees F or above at time of mixing. Stir each component separately before blending. Mix two parts by volume of Part A with one part by volume of Part B for three minutes with a low speed electric drill motor equipped with a mixing paddle.
Epoxy.com Product #899 can be applied with a brush, roller or squeegee when used as a primer or seal coat. For skid resistance, broadcast sand at a rate of 2 lbs. per square yard. For mortar applications finish surface with trowel. Prime surface to be patched with neat material.
Use of solvents for thinning will prevent proper cure. New concrete must he 28 days old prior to application of Epoxy.com Damp Primer. Temperature of substrate must be above 40 degrees F.
Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause eye and skin irritation. If contact occurs, wash immediately and seek medical help. Use safety glasses with side shields and wear protective rubber gloves.
All tools and equipment should be cleaned before the system gels. Use MEK, Acetone, or any lacquer solvent.
