DESCRIPTION
Epoxy.com ? Product #222 WATER BASED EPOXY COATING is a two component 100% reactive water based multifunctional epoxy resin coating. Product #222 is manufactured to produce the utmost in performance in a safe, water borne coating. Product #222 provides excellent resistance to salt intrusion, and excellent adhesion to most common construction substrates.

USES

Epoxy.com ? Product #222 can be used as a sealer or topcoat for concrete, wood, steel, or galvanized metal. Product #222 can be used where high chemical resistant coatings are a must such as: marine environments, chemical and industrial plants, power plants, food processing areas, concrete parapet walls, bridge pier caps and concrete floors.

Product #222 is available in a variety of colors. Product #222 pigmented coating can be applied to concrete as early as three days after placement. The standard colors of Product #222 are white, beige and grey. Other colors are available as special order products.


APPLICATION PROCEDURES

STEEL SURFACE - Steel surfaces should be dry grit or sandblasted to a commercial gray metal finish as specified by the Steel Structures Painting Council SP 6. All work blasted shall be coated the same day with Product #1200 Zinc Rich Primer. For immersion service, blast to near white blast SSPC SP-10.

CONCRETE SURFACE: Concrete surfaces shall be cleaned to remove dirt, curing compounds, existing coatings or laitance to provide a clean, sound bonding surface. Cleaning may be accomplished with waterblasting, sandblasting, abrasive cleaning, or other methods that would achieve a similar result.

MIXING: Stir Component "B" thoroughly before mixing. Combine 2 parts by volume of "A" with 1 part by volume of "B" (mixing ratio 2:1). Mix for, not less than 3 minutes with a slow speed drill (300 to 600 rpm), and a Mixing Paddle. When mixing has been completed, cover mixed material and allow an induction time of not less than 30 minutes before application. Clean equipment with soap and water.

APPLICATIONS: Product #222 WATER BASED EPOXY COATING may be applied by brush, roller or spray. All Spray equipment must employ traps to prevent water and oil from contaminating coating.

COVERAGE: Product #222, will cover approximately 200 sq. ft./gal./coat depending upon surface texture. For best results, use two (2) coats.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

For industrial use only. Keep away from children. Refer to the Material Health and Safety Data Sheets (MSDS forms) pertaining to this product before using. Avoid contact with skin or eyes. In the event of any eye splash or contact, immediately flush with cold water for15 minutes and contact a physician. If skin contact occurs. wash with mild soap and water. The wearing safety glasses with side shields and impervious gloves is recommended.

CAUTION: Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) Classification (2) and Warning for sensitization or other allergic responses. Avoid inhalation of vapor. Use good ventilation, particularly if the material is heated or sprayed. Prevent all contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective clothing, goggles, gloves and/or barrier creams.

Keep container closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.

FIRST AID: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a physician. Wash clothing before re-use.
