100% SOLIDS HI-MOD FAST SETTING GEL ADHESIVE


DESCRIPTION

Epoxy.com Product #5  Hi Mod Fast Setting Gel Adhesive is a 100% solids high-mod epoxy gel adhesive used for vertical and overhead bonding applications and structural repairs. It is also used as a grout for anchor bolts, dowels and rebar.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Surface Preparation:

Before application of Epoxy.com Product #5  Hi Mod Fast Setting Gel Adhesive, surface to be bonded must be clean and sound. Remove all dirt, laitance, grease, curing compounds and other foreign mater by sandblasting, or mechanical abrasion. Remove water and dust from all surfaces with an oil-free air blast immediately prior to application.

Mixing Instructions:

Temperature of Epoxy.com Product #5  Hi Mod Fast Setting Gel Adhesive must be 50 F. or above at time of mixing. Stir each component separately before blending thoroughly. Mix one part by volume of component A with one part by volume of component B for three minutes with a low speed electrical drill motor equipped with a mixing paddle. Pot life is approximately 10 to 15 minutes at 72 F. Gel time varies depending on the ambient temperature. Consult Epoxy.com Tech Service for specific information.

To prepare a mortar for structural repairs add one part by volume of dry, clean, well-graded select sand to one part by volume of mixed epoxy.

Application:

Apply Epoxy.com Product #5  Hi Mod Fast Setting Gel Adhesive with a spatula, trowel, concrete grout bag or caulking gun. Limitations Temperature of substrate must be above 40 F. Alteration of Epoxy.com Product #5  Hi Mod Fast Setting Gel Adhesive with solvents for thinning purposes will prevent proper cure.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause eye or skin irritation. If contact occurs, wash immediately and seek medical help. Use safety glasses with side shields and wear protective rubber or polyethylene gloves.

CLEANING

All tools and equipment should be cleaned before the system gels. Use toluene, methyl ethyl ketone or any lacquer solvent.

Epoxy.com Product #5  Hi Mod Fast Setting Gel Adhesive meets ASTM C-881-90 Type I, II, IV, & V when used at temperatures of 40 F. and below.

Coverage:

Epoxy.com may in its discretion refund the price received by Epoxy.com in lieu of replacing the material.
