EpoxySystems' Product #900/901 Polymeric Joint Sealant DESCRIPTION: PRODUCT #900/901 Polymeric Joint Sealants are 2 part chemically cured elastomers. They provide a flexible and watertight seal between concrete, masonry, metals, glass, wood, and other construction materials. Product #900 (Gun Grade)/ Product #901 (Pourable) are mixed just prior to application. Color is light gray. (Other colors are available on special order.)ADVANTAGES: PRODUCT #900/901 bond tightly to any clean, dry surface. The cured sealant have excellent flexibility and performs well to -20oF. Joint movement 25% is easily accommodated through years of outdoor exposure. PRODUCT #900/901 resist the effects of temperature extremes, seasonal weather changes, sunlight, moisture and chemical attack. Life expectancy is up to 20 years under normal conditions.PHYSICAL PROPERTIES: PRODUCT #900/901 have excellent electrical properties. Typical electrical properties of cured material at 77oF (25oC) and 50% relative humidity are as follows:Tensile Strength 140 ± 25 p.s.i 1.10 MPa Tensile Elongation 350% Hardness, Shore A Durometer 25 ± 10 Volume resistivity (ohm-cm) 1 x 1011 - 7 x 1012 Surface resistivity (ohms) 1 x 1012 - 2 x 1014 Dielectric constant @ 1 kc 5.5 - 8 Dissipation factor @ 1 kc .001 - .010 Pot life after mixing is approximately 40 minutes at 70oF (21.1°
C). Initial cure is 24 hours; final cure is 7 days SPECIFICATION: PRODUCT #900/901 Polymeric Joint Sealants meets the following specifications:Type Grade Class ASTM C-920-95 Product #900 NS 25 ASTM C-920-95 Product #901 P 25 National Bureau of Standards and GSA TT-S-0227E (1970) * * Defers test specification to ASTM C-920-95 SURFACE PREPARATION: Joint interface must be clean, dry, and free from oils, loose mortar, laitance, waterproofings, and other contaminants. A thorough grinding, sandblasting, or solvent cleaning may be required to expose clean, sound surfaces. Priming is not normally required with common building materials. However, an instance may occur where priming is necessary for certain substrates or for water immersion, and EpoxySystems’ Product #950 Sealant Primer should be used. The Product #900/901 must be applied within 8 hours after priming. Re-prime if time limit has expired. MIXING: Mix "A" and "B" Components with a slow speed mechanical mixer for 3 minutes.
