Epoxy Loop Sealant


 

DESCRIPTION

PRODUCT #960 Loop Sealant is a 100% solids flexible epoxy resin designed for filling saw cut loop detector joints. PRODUCT #960 has an easy mix ratio of 1 Part A to 1 Part B by volume. PRODUCT #960 is formulated for convenience and does not require filler to hold grade when placed in saw cut joints.

ADVANTAGES

Fast curing time. PRODUCT #960 seals can be opened to traffic in two (2) hours at 70°F. PRODUCT #960 Loop Sealant bonds to both concrete and asphalt, and has flexibility to expand and contract with temperature changes.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Saw cut slot to the specified depth and width in concrete or asphalt. Move water or dust from saw cut slot with oil free compressed air.

MIXING:

Combine one part by volume of Component "A" with one part by volume of Component "B". The blend should be thoroughly mixed for at least three minutes with an Epoxy Systems’ Mixing Paddle on a low speed (300 to 600 rpm) drill motor.

APPLICATION

Apply immediately after mixing. Place wire in slot and fill with PRODUCT #960 Loop Sealant. Lower temperatures will lengthen set time.

YIELD

One gallon of PRODUCT #960 Loop Sealant provides 231 cubic inches of liquid sealant.

CAUTION:

May cause skin sensitization or other allergic response. Avoid inhalation of vapor. Use good ventilation, particularly if material is heated or sprayed. Prevent all contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective clothing, goggles, gloves, and/or barrier creams. If contact with skin occurs, wash immediately with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with water and contact a physician.

If any product fails to meet this warranty, the liability of ESI will be limited to replacement of any non-conforming material if notice of such non-conformity is given to ESI within the warranty period for the material (as indicated above), or within 1 year of the delivery of materials (whichever is sooner). ESI may in its discretion refund the price received by ESI in lieu of replacing the material. No customer, distributor, or representative of ESI is authorized to change or modify the published specifications of this warranty in any way. No one is authorized to make oral warranties on behalf of ESI. In order to obtain replacement or refund the customer must provide written notice containing full details of the non-conformity. ESI reserves the right to inspect the non-conforming material prior to replacement. EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESSED WARRANTY STATED ABOVE, THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PURPOSE. Many of our products are made on an individual order basis.   Unless authorized in writing by Epoxy Systems, Inc. in writing before the material is made, there are no returns on items purchased from us, once the order has been processed, and the material made. In the event of authorized returns a restocking charge will be charged in the amount of 30% of the value of the material returned or $150 whichever is greater.  No returns on non-list priced items.  All Returns are for merchandise (store) credit only, no cash or credit card credits.  In the event of a return, buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping and handling in both directions.
